E-commerce Platform for DIY Cable Railing Company

CityPost creates DIY cable railings that customers can install themselves. To streamline this process they needed software that allowed their customers to design their railings online with all of their customization options and see their designs visualized in 2D and 3D. 

Ultimately, CityPost needed a way to simplify their design process from order to delivery. Their cable railing system is designed to be easily installed by the customer where designs are packaged with everything they need. Their Railing Designer solution creates an itemized list of every part needed for a customer’s order, makes the order purchasable through Shopify, and sends the information to CityPost’s warehouse to assemble the kit once purchased. 

CityPost didn’t have a way to let their customers buy their products online. CityPost’s new software allows them to scale their business by making their products directly available to their customers. CityPost uses Shopify to sell their products through their digital store. Their Railing Designer Solution integrates with Shopify to give their customers the best experience. 

RoleModel worked with Shopify to migrate product and order information into their ideal workflow. Railing Designer was also embedded into CityPost’s customer-facing website. Now, CityPost’s customers can draw their railings, see them visualized in 2D and 3D, and when they are done designing and submitting their order, their kit is created automatically and shipped to their doorstep.
