Mark Kraemer
Software Director
My life mission is to learn how the latest technology and behaviors can improve businesses and personal lives, and then put that learning to work. During my 15 years of developing software, the tooling has changed but my goal is the same. Today that means leveraging AI so people can be more creative in the problems they solve. This applies to businesses, my own development workflows, and the workflows of my team. Even in my personal time, I study techniques that improve mental and physical performance and the way teams work together. As a lifelong learner, I'm always improving myself and those around me.
Mark is RoleModel's Software Director. He works on two things: how our engineers build software with AI, and how our partners put AI to work in their own businesses.
He mentors craftsmen and senior developers, sets how the team plans, reviews, and ships with a model in the loop, and builds MCP servers and custom AI systems that turn hours of research into minutes.
Mark joined in 2016 as a senior developer and spent five years as a software craftsman leading engagements across manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, financial services, and nonprofits, including our Hotwire Native mobile practice.
